Significant Learning

Presented by Dr. Keith Restine, Associate Director of Distance Education

March 12, 2009 / 11a.m.

Overview: This presentation will set the stage for future conversations about teaching and learning. Keith will present a brief historical tour of selected studies about teaching and learning in higher education. We will also discuss some contemporary thoughts about teaching and learning based on Bain’s (2004) study of college professors. The intent is not to go into any of these in depth but to give you some flavor about what we do know about teaching and student learning.
